Frames Per Second is the Frame Rate of your Recoding Dealing with Your DVR system or your DVR card. Certain People don’t really care about Frames Per Second or FPS but there is a lot of people that are picky about Frames Per Second since that would determine a slow recording or a real time recording.

30 Frames Per Second is the ideal Frame Rate for a recording since that would be real time.  For example if you have a DVR card that has 240 Frames Per Second that has 8 Channels for 8 security cameras and you connect all 8 security cameras to your DVR card you would get 30 Frames Per second Per security camera.  This would be at real time recording, but if you have a 4 channel DVR card with 30 Frames Per second and you connect all 4 security cameras to each Channel you would get 7.5 Frames Per Second per security camera which would give you a small delay in your recordings.

Getting a DVR system with real time Frame rate is the best choice so you do not have any delays.
