Keyboard Operated Immobilizers – User Manual

General Description

The system was designed as a unique security system which fits all 12V vehicles.
The system is installed in addition to other existing security systems, is such exists, and is designed to provide the best combination of maximum protection and operation convenience.
The system includes a keyboard unit which is installed on the front panel of the vehicle at an easy approach location, and one or two cut-off units which are installed at concealed places and prevent the possibility of starting the engine without entering a secret personal code.

The system operation is based on secret code. This code must be kept separately from the vehicle keys.
If the engine is shut off, close the ignition switch and start the engine again without entering the code, for one minute.

Important!!! The customer is to be given a Master Code. This code is always kept in the system and is used in case the regular user code is forgotten. Please attach the Master Code sticker at the marked place at the second page. The code is kept inside a sealed black plastic bag and shown near the title M. CODE (6 digits).

1. Disarming the system for engine start
• Open the driver door and enter the vehicle.
• The red L.E.D. of the keyboard flashes slowly in red light.
• Press the * button. The keyboard is illuminated.
• Enter the secret code as been given by the installer (from left to right):
* 5 3 4 1
┴ →
• At the beginning of entering any code, the * button has to be pressed. Pressing this button before fully entering the code will cause the keyboard to reset. Then, the code has to be re-entered.
• A short beep will be heard after pressing each button. After fully entering the code, if the right code was entered, a beep will be heard to indicate that the system is disarmed. In case a wrong code was entered, 5 short beeps will be heard. Press * and the right code.
• After entering the right code the status L.E.D. will turn on constantly.
• Turn the ignition switch and start the engine. The L.E.D. will turn off.
• After entering 3 wrong codes, a long beep will be heard to indicate “last chance” to enter the right code. If a 4th wrong code is entered or if no code is entered in the next 20 seconds, the system will be blocked for the next 5 minutes during this time it will be impossible to start the engine.
(During the period of 5 minutes the L.E.D. will flash rapidly and a beep will be heard every 5 seconds).
• After 5 minutes the system returns to normal status.

2. Arming the System
Automatic (passive) arming
• The system will be armed automatically one minute after shutting down the ignition switch, and a long beep will be heard. (L.E.D. turns on constantly).
• Attention: During this minute, it is possible to start the engine without entering the code.
• At armed status, the L.E.D. flashes slowly.
Active Arming
• An active arming is possible by constantly pressing the * button for 3 seconds until a long beep is heard to indicate armed status.
• Attention: It is not possible to start the engine immediately after active arming without entering the code.

3. Changing the secret code
Attention: After first operation the secret code must be replaced.
• Make sure the ignition switch is off.
• Enter the code:
* 5 3 4 1
┴ →
• Turn on the ignition switch.
• Press * and the new code you chose (4 to 6 digits), for example:
* 1 5 1 2 5 1
Master
Code
┴ →
• Press again the * button and the new code. If it is similar to the previous new code that was entered, 2 confirmation beeps will be heard. If not, an error beep will be heard.
• Turn off the ignition switch.
• Now the system will operate with the new code.

4. Garage/Valet mode – temporary shut down of the system

Operating Garage/Valet mode
• Press * button and the secret code.
• Turn on the ignition switch.
• Make sure that the L.E.D. is shut down.
• Press button ‘1’ for 7 seconds. This will transfer the system to Garage/Valet mode. The system will sound confirmation beep and the L.E.D. will show 2 short blinks every 2 seconds
• Now the system is temporarily shut down. It is possible to turn the engine on without entering the code. This mode is used when the vehicle is in the garage or being cleaned when a few engine start are required. Avoid in any case giving away the secret code.

Active canceling the Garage/Valet mode
• Press * button for 3 seconds. The system will sound a long confirmation beep.
• The L.E.D. will constantly lit up if ignition switch is off, or will shut down if the ignition switch is on.
• If ignition switch is off, then * button flashing, press * button and enter the code, will withdraw from the Garage mode.
• If the ignition switch is on, then * button flashing, sound a continuous brief voice, now should cut off the ignition switch, press * button and then enter the code, will withdraw from the garage mode.
