You will need to first install the CD in to your system, then install the DVR card, and finally, install the drivers. One of the coolest features of this DVR card is that it has motion detect recording. That means that it records only action and not hours of empty footage. Using this feature saves precious memory space and increases your recording length from a few weeks to over a month, depending on the size of your hard drive. It has enhanced mpeg-4 compression technology and can be stacked so you can use up to 32 channels. Using the software, you will be able to view this card and its cameras remotely over the internet and control the PTZ through an LAN connection. It also supports an IE remote monitor. You can view all of the 4 channels live from your own PC, or you can view it remotely over the internet after setting up a static IP address.
