Wireless communication is when you transfer information over a distance without the use of any form of electrical conductors or "wires". The distances involved may be short, only a couple hundred feet, or very long, thousands or even millions of kilometers for radio communications. When the context is clear the term is often shortened to just, "wireless". Wireless communications is a branch of telecommunications.
Wireless technology is already and may one day completely supplement or replace hard wired implementations in security systems for homes or office buildings.
After you install a home security wireless camera, it may be necessary to adjust the device to improve its performance
Be sure that you have your camera in the correct location in regards to lighting.
Check the angle of the camera. Make adjustments if the image is being cut off.
Check the height of the camera. It may be that you need to raise or lower the camera in order to improve the images.
If your camera has a focus knob, button or lens, check its setting and adjust as necessary.
Be sure that the camera is properly synced with the home station. Also check if the camera and home stations are both connected to their power sources.
If your wireless camera is powered by batteries, be sure that the batteries are charged. Also, check that they have not corroded.
Determine whether the home station is properly programmed for the functions you expect your camera to perform.
Be sure the receiver is in the highest place possible and free of any obstructions or possible interference.
